"I began my journey in the animation industry as a senior lay-out artist, with my initial work on 'Teddy Ruxpin' at Atkinson Film Arts in Ottawa, Canada. My early contributions expanded to various beloved shows such as 'Nightingale,' 'MeerKats,' 'My Pet Monster,' 'Care Bears,' and Nelvana's 'Ultracross.'
Over time, I honed my versatile design skills, eventually taking on the role of lead designer for 'Babar,' a show that earned critical acclaim. In this capacity, I oversaw various design aspects, leaving a lasting mark on the show and its subsequent feature adaptation.
My journey led me to Lacewood Productions, where I provided lay-outs and background design for projects like 'The Nutcracker Prince' and 'The Princess and the Goblins' in Cardiff, Wales.
I also had the privilege of working with DIC Entertainment in Seoul, Korea, and Nelvana in Taipei, Taiwan, in overseas supervisory roles for productions such as 'Chipmunks,' 'Where's Waldo,' and 'Beetlejuice.' During my time there, I had the honor of teaching drawing and layout classes to emerging artists.
I later took on roles with studios like Film Roman and Funbag Productions, contributing to shows like 'Free Willy' and the 1996 Olympics animation featuring 'Izzy.'
Returning to Taipei, I served as Overseas Supervisor for 'Animaniacs' at Warner Bros., followed by a similar role for 'Batman: The Animated Series' in Shenzhen, China, where I emphasized a commitment to quality and meeting deadlines.
Subsequently, I moved to New York, where I directed the '101 Dalmatians' series and served as supervising director for 'Sabrina The Teenage Witch.' Returning to Los Angeles, I directed episodes for 'Pigs Next Door' and continued my storyboard work on various shows.
In addition to my animation work, I collaborated with the Chiodo Brothers to create the artwork for the animated title sequence for New Line Cinema's 'Elf.' I also earned an Emmy for my storyboard work on Discovery Networks' 'Growing Up Creepy.'
In tandem with my extensive work in animation, I dedicated time to sharing my expertise as an adjunct professor of animation at the Laguna College of Art and Design.
Most recently, I've had the privilege of contributing my talents to Matt Groening's hit Netflix show, 'Disenchanted.'"
